To live in this time, is nothing short of a miracle. Like Whoppi Goldberg said, "Ive always felt like an American, only now I feel I can unpack my bags".

Its been a long time coming, and long overdue, and he is the one to help unite us into a nation of believers again.

Thank you for posting all of these videos. Watching the reactions across the world, it truly brought me to tears. It is a remarkable thing that Obama will be leading our country and seeing these videos brought back all of the initial feelings of overwhelming joy.

Thanks so much, such a great idea to do this. Brought a tear to my eyes all over again.

I know black people are proud, but just look at the diversity throughout these crowds. Truly a wonderful sight to behold, so many gathered in one place, all with the same hope.

My faith in the American people was restored that night.

How great is this blog?!?! MSNBC has the only video I can find that shows the actual crowd reaction (which is incredible), but this is amazing! I have tears once again!

You know, I didn't get as teary that night as did a bunch of the people at the party I attended. But watching these clips makes me want to cry with happiness. I can't wait for January.

It's hard to convey the feelings these moments arouse in me. It's almost impossible to explain why I'm overwhelmed with emotion and actual tears pour out of my eyes - Over an election? Are you kidding me?

Never in my life have I ever felt so strongly about a Presidential election. Never before have I been so satisfied with the outcome.

I'm glad to see I have plenty of company. Thank you for compiling these. They are indeed special.

Wow, thank you SO MUCH for posting this. This is pretty much the exact view I had that night at Grant Park. Who knows, it might even be me giving that high pitched scream toward the end there! (The guy next to me stuck his fingers in his ears. Sorry!) The countdown, the elation the second that screen came up, the screams, the chants of "Yes We Can" "Yes We Did!" and "Obama" punctuated with stomping and fists in the air. I'm crying right now thinking of it. I didn't believe it could really happen until that screen came up. And the past eight years just disappeared. I LOVE CHICAGO and I love this country!!!

I'm sitting all alone in my office watching these videos and reliving that magical night. I love seeing the joy from all over the world! Gotta go and find a kleenex. Who'd have thought I still had more tears in me.

WOW, its been 10 days since the election and I still get tears of joy when thinking about Obama's victory... this video just brought me right back into the moment again, thanks!

Whew. Yep, still gets me every time. My son did also get video in Chicago of the moment, but his was shakier than what is here and probably a third of the crowd got something. Hehehehe... of course, those who weren't crying too hard to hold a camera. This 51 year old Evangelical Christian white guy is wearing an Obama shirt even at this moment! Hahaha! I call it braggin' rights!

This is so fantastic! Thank you for posting all of these clips. Please continue to add. With every one I opened I cried some more! To feel-really feel-what this means to individuals across the globe...it's a lucky, lucky time to be an American once again.

Greatest blog ever.

I had a party and countdown that night and we had the same reaction... I only wish I had it on tape.

Thank you so much for the videos. It was awesome to see the reactions around the world. Here in the small town of Crossville, TN, we had a much smaller version of this complete with countdown and screaming for joy. No video, but we were definately trusting CNN for that wonderful night. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for posting these videos. This has been some experience! Quite a thrill ride & I believe the best is yet to come! I have never followed a presidential election as I have the 2008 election. I had the same anticipation before the debates as I had about sports championships. I pray that Pres. Obama continues to raise the bar and is able to help to usher in the change that this nation really needs. Is it me or has Pres.-elect Obama's body language changed? He had a humble/peaceful thing going on during the campaign (even amidst the mudslinging attacks from Clinton and McCain/Palin), but as soon as he had won the election, there was a shift towards focused/steely and strictly business...Looking forward to the next 4 or 8 years!

Thanks for posting these videos - I just watched the Chicago one and it brought back that feeling I can't really find a word for (a mix of relief and joy?) and brougth the tears back up again... what an amazing election this was.

Obama will have his hands full but he is smart, he is our only hope.

You bastard! That made me tear up yet again! I thought I had done my quota of eye-wiping for the month.

God, what a beautiful thing.
