Watching this video from Norman Oklahoma was very touching to me. It showed many young people, black and white, coming together for a historic election. It showed that they didn't care about color, they cared about change. They didn't care that Oklahoma overwhelmingly voted Republican (unfortunately). I wish we could see many more of these types of gatherings all around the US. People need to get over the black and white issue. God created all of us. Learn to deal with it. As a white woman, I'm very proud of my country for the first time in a very long time. I voted for Obama and I'll proudly admit it to everyone, even though I live in the very backward state of Oklahoma.
I know how you feel. I am from OK too and I am ashamed of how the state has been boasting that it went for McCain and all the recent incidents that have happened post election. I want to shout from the rooftops - not all of us here are anti-progress, close-minded and predjudiced! I am overjoyed at this step towards freedom and equality for ALL U.S. citizens.
What a great video. I graduated from OU in Norman 22 years ago. I left the state immediately for a more open-minded, progressive place, Austin. I'm heartened to see this. Okies, I know it can be hard in such a conservative place. Hang in there. Obama's presidency will open some minds.
I am currently an OU undergrad. I feel that this video gives me hope for the future of this state. Being from Michigan it's odd for me to be in a place that is so conservative and dare I say, fosters some un-addressed bigotry. Young people, the mantle of change is upon us to improve the landscape of this country. Yes We Can!
It sure is nice to see people leaving comments on this great video. It means a lot to me since this video was shot in Oklahoma, where a lot of people seem to be a bit backward and slightly racist. It saddens me to know that this state is home to that type of thinking and behavior. This evening I had a conversation with a man that seems to believe that Obama will take away our right to have guns. It's such a shame that some are so uneducated.
Thank you to all Oklahomans who are progressives of every color and sort. I am a neighbor down in the biggest red state of them all, Texas, and I too want others to know how many of us in red states such as OK and TX (many millions) are not only proud but inspired by Obama's victory and the future of the progressive enlightenment in America. It is a victory for all Americans and for the whole world as well.

great video.
Anyone know who the artist is and what song is being sung? I love it.
Hey! It's my video! Haha.
I'm glad everyone likes it =)
The song is a cover of "Now We Are Free" (from Gladiator) by Kelly Sweet.
